THERMODYNAMICS Style 8000FP inserted with flat stainless steel plate is easy to handle. It has a low permeability to gases and is impermeable to liquids. Style 8000FP is soft and easily adaptable. It can be used in air from the lowest temperature up to 550°C. Good resistance to chemicals and has a good shear strength coupled with good resistance to thermal shock. Long term stability on compression and recovery over a wide temperature range. No aging or embrittlement of the graphite layers. Good scratch resistance and excellent 'anti-stick' agent on all flanges. No measurable cold or warm flow up to maximum permissible gasket stress. Thin adhesive film of less than 10mm with low chloride content. Operating pressure is extended to 200bar (2940psi).
For more details on the expanded mineral graphite specifications, please refer to Thermodynamics Style 7000. Multiple steel inserted sheets are available on request.
