Pure expanded flexible mineral graphite yarns are impregnated with teflon as a blocking agent thus creating a non-straining packing recommended to be used widely in general service pumps where a high-quality performance product is needed in food industries, pulp and paper mills, sugar mills etc.

Thermodynamics Style 5000 is a multi-purposes packing that is compatible with virtually most of the industrial fluids. It does not deteriorate due to age, and minimizes shaft wear. The inherent properties of Thermodynamics Style 5000 contribute to the long life of packing rings because of its outstanding moldability. Style 5000 may be used in hostile environments of hydrocarbon processing, power generation, oil refineries, and other industries where effective sealing is vital.
