Difference in physical properties between Style 1000 and Style 1200 configuration twisted yarns after braided into a square packing.
Style 1000 twisted yarn when braided into a square packing in any constructions, the packing feels very flexible and has a uniformity of density, tensile strength and its compressibility.
Style 1000 twisted yarn braided packing is much easier to bent and move into a symmetrical curve for direct insertion into stuffing boxes of pumps, valves and fabricated molds.
Style 1200 twisted yarn when braided into a square packing in any constructions, the packing feels hard, and inconsistent in its density on some areas.
However, Style 1200 twisted yarn is commonly braided into a valve packing for direct application into stuffing boxes of the valves and fabricated molds for molding of valve of valve packing ring sets.
Although, this phenomenon is not very obvious through its physical appearance after braiding of each different style of yarns, as they look very similar in material and its color.
We have made this technical data easy for every braider to understand that the tensile strength of packing braided using Style 1000 configuration twisted yarns is higher and stronger than that of Style 1200 configuration twisted yarn.
